ADUM data entry help section
ADUM data entry
par onglets du formulaire
The data must be entered scrupulously; it will form the basis of your administrative file, will be used for your schooling, for the institutions' indicators and to respond to ministerial surveys.
Once your data has been validated by the Doctoral school, it is stored in a definitive database and can only be modified by an institution or doctoral school (you can contact us to report modifications).
All the data in a tab must be completed for it to be validated. Certain tabs (thesis title, abstracts, etc.) are dependent on each other and must be completed in the correct order, particularly the tab entitled ‘Thesis progress’, which is essential for identifying the research unit to which you belong or your thesis supervisor.

There is a dependency with the individual training agreement. It is important to complete this section beforehand, as the thesis supervisor must be indicated before the individual training agreement can be validated.
The ‘Warning! These data will be published on the Internet: www.theses.fr’ concerns the registration and submission of the thesis by the SCD (university documentation services). A national database lists theses in preparation (STEP), and another lists theses that have been defended (STAR). These data can be accessed on theses.fr with different access options depending on the author's choices. The title of the thesis and the keywords in STAR will be those defined at the time of the defence. The title and keywords may change (as far as is logical and reasonable) during the course of the thesis.
Keywords: SCDs have a list of keywords for indexing theses, these may therefore be modified when the final submission is made to the SCD (cf. Rameau list).
Supervision of the thesis:
No less than 50% possible, no more than two researchers mentioned in the supervision, including the supervisor (any third person will only be accepted if from the socio-economic world).
Directeur : titulaire d’une HDR/holder of an HDR
Codirecteur : titulaire d’une HDR/holder of an HDR
Coencadrant : does not hold an HDR but is in the process of preparing one. If the ED is not aware of the co-supervisor's HDR project, it will not be validated/added!
For the ‘Industrial collaboration’ field, please enter ‘yes’ only if you are carrying out your doctorate under a CIFRE agreement. You can indicate your industrial tutor in the referent field of the Industrial Collaboration tab.
To enter the first letters of a supervisor, type each letter slowly and wait for the search in the ADUM database before creating another entry.
Level of proficiency used is the one of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment
Level A: Basic user (= compulsory schooling), itself subdivided into introductory or discovery level (A1) and intermediate or everyday level (A2)
Level B: Independent user (= secondary school), subdivided into threshold level (B1) and advanced or independent level (B2). It corresponds to ‘limited operational competence’ (Wilkins) or ‘appropriate response in everyday situations’ (Trim).
Level C: Proficient user, subdivided into C1 (autonomous) and C2 (mastery).
