Thesis committee (CSI) composition
2 academic researchers/ scientific experts (one of them is President of the CSI) :
• Senior researchers (H.D.R.)
• Doesnt belong to the team / lab (at least one doesn’t belong to the Region Hauts-de-France)
A doctoral school representative can appointed by the DS
Schedule
• D1 – first meeting beginning of the 2nd year
Composition : mid july
Thesis committee feedback report : mid october
• D2 – second meeting beginning of the 3rd year
Composition : mid july
Thesis committee feedback report : mid october
• Fourth year – third meeting to be authorized to register in 4th year
Thesis committee feedback report : mid september
Fourth year – PhD defense planned before december –> thesis committee possible exemption (check your mails)
Additional meetings can be organised if needed.
Mode of operation
Few steps:
- fill in the CSI composition form in ADUM (My Profile) before mid-july
- send a progress report of his progression for the ending academic year to all members of the committee and to the doctoral school (15 days prior to the meeting)
- the day of the meeting:
- PhD student presentation followed by a discussion about your scientific project progress and your professional project (actions : trainings, seminars, etc.)
- Interview of the PhD student in absence of the supervisor and vice-versa
- President of the CSI write the report, signed by all members - send the signed report to doctoral school by email before mid-october
